Nice restaurant. Server wasn't very friendly. She wasn't rude, just there to do her job kind of vibe. The bacon in the salad was so salty that it completely overpowered the salad. The meatloaf had an excessively strong chemical smoke flavor to it. It was all in the sauce they used. I took three bites and didn't want any more of it. Definitely not worth the price.
I brought my husband here for a quiet birthday lunch. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a vibe. Very clean with warm decor. The staff here is very friendly and they don’t mind assisting you even if they’re not your actual server, which was a plus. We started with the sloppy Joe fries, which I demolished. My husband had steak and some sides that I didn’t get to try, but I ordered the hot honey chicken with collard greens and grits. It was delicious! The chicken was seasoned very well and the entire dish was flavorful. I also ordered a side of brussel sprouts and they were very tasty with the added bacon. The only issue we faced was our waitresses’ forgetfulness. She offered us a taste of the soup of the day, and we said we would like to try it. When she returned, she had forgotten. After we finally tried it, we actually ordered it…but I assume she forgot again because we never received it, which was kind of weird considering there were only 3 patrons at the time. Otherwise, it was a good visit, and I recommend it. I’ll return again some day.
This was our first time. This restaurant is the bomb awesomeness. All the dishes we had is really good. Shrimp and grits and fried shrimp and hush puppies was really good!! Haley was a great server. Ask for her for a good server here!!! The cocktail drinks are top notch. This is nice to go out. Very good southern food!!
1885 is one the best restaurants near my home. I'm plant base and they go beyond the call of duty to prepare my food dairy free and gluten free. The brussell sprouts and fried okra are off the chain. The veggie stack on the gluten free bun is incredible. The kale salad without cheese gives me ultimate chill bumps. The server Aubrey was a blessing yesterday and today. Ben, the manager always makes me feel at home! Check this place out. Their menu is extensive and I can see the chef and cooks from my table. I love it!
Walked right in on a Saturday night and was lucky enough to score two seats at the bar and was served by Amithy. She did a great job giving us recommendations and we were able to try a couple appetizers and a craft cocktail. All was well worth the money. Food came out quickly and was delicious. We had the special offering of fried green tomatoes with an Asian fusion with some grilled shrimp, as well as the pimento cheese & okra. Both were delicious!
Great food and drinks! We sat outside and got the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and the cheeseburger empanadas for an appetizer! It was amazing! The staff are fantastic. Fallon was so attentive and friendly! Super quick and helpful with drink choices. The other staff members came out to say hello to our puppies, and they were so friendly and helpful too! Sophia recommended the hot honey chicken sandwich, and we are so happy she did! The pimento cheese on that sandwich is amazing! Great restaurant all around!
This restaurant impressed with a delicious variety of appetizers and entrees. Don't miss dessert! The service was fantastic - the staff were attentive and friendly. The open and airy atmosphere added to the enjoyable dining experience.
What are very delightful experience . meeting the manager Ben & Sophia our server. Was one of the nicest restaurant experience I've had in a long time ! Sophia our server was excellent! The food was absolutely superb. The cocktails were delicious. I'm very happy that we picked this restaurant to see while we were in town!
