My wife and I spent our mini-honeymoon there this past weekend, 11/08-11/10.|The staff was very courteous, although we were given a key to an occupied room. Thank goodness the guest was not there when we went in. Lol. The room was large and very clean. The bathroom likewise. Ample towels. My only suggestion is maybe providing king size pillows for a king size bed, which was very comfortable. Once we parked our car we basically walked everywhere. Excellent location. Will definitely stay there again. Breakfast was great, and by the way, the woman who kept up with the cleanliness of the buffet did an awesome job.
This location is outfit for a 5 star general! The hotels property is on the edge of the battlefields and you can feel the history in the air as you sip your morning coffee on the balcony.
The room was impeccable and the bed offered an excellent nights sleep. A laminated informational guide in the room offers the next days breakfast menu, this was very helpful and the faire was delicious. The parking lot had clear lines and was easily accessible.
The location and architectural layout is unique and my only recommendation would be to offer some guidance where rooms are located upon check in.
If you’re visiting Gettysburg with your Calvary or for a solo trip this hotel has it all. Don’t battle the big brands on the outskirts of town, support local and stay on the front lines!
Perfect location...right in the center of town. The hotel was very nice. The rooms had everything we needed. The lobby was very festive for the holidays. Definitely will stay there my next trip.
Unfortunately we will not go back to this hotel because of the general manager Norma. We had a mix up with a reservation and she was the least hospitable person I have ever dealt with. She was rude and nasty and was not helpful at all. It is a shame because everyone else on the property was very nice and I am sorry that they have to work for someone like her. When you are in a beautiful town like Gettysburg, you would expect nothing but kind people in the service industry. Not here. Take your business to the many, many other hotels or inns that will appreciate your business.
We were very impressed with this hotel. Very nice and clean. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We hope to visit next year. Loved the pancake maker.Just wave your hand and you could watch your pancake being made and comes out on your plate.Breakfeast good and location is great.
Outstanding customer service, excellent location. "Gauge" at the check-in counter could not have been more helpful and accommodating during our stay, particularly when we needed assistance with our reservation. He was both understanding and helpful--Can't say enough good things about the personal service we received. Location can't be beat, we could walk to most of the Gettysburg locations we wanted to visit. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel is a budget-friendly, no-frills hotel. While there is not much in the way of luxury, the hotel does have some good features. ||First, the hotel is very conveniently located in the more touristy section of Gettysburg. The National Cemetery, Dobbin House restaurant (best in Gettysburg), tour companies, ice cream, fast food and souvenir shops are all within easy walking distance.||The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, and we had plenty of clean towels. We had a small fridge, tv and coffee machine. There was a desk and office chair, as well as an extra easy chair. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. We also had plenty of outlets to charge our devices. ||This hotel has an outdoor pool, although we didn’t use it. It looked clean and well maintained. Breakfast is included for guests and is your typical hotel breakfast. There were plenty of tables for everyone to eat. There is an elevator to the upper floors. We did not have any trouble finding a parking space in the hotel lot.||On the negative side, the beds were so-so comfortable, mostly due to the low thread count sheets. Our AC unit worked well but was very noisy.
Nice size, clean room. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Staff was friendly and it's conveniently located in the middle of all these shops, restaurants, tours and historical locations. I would highly recommend!
