Let's talk food first. It was on point. Absolutely delicious. The risotto was divine. Done perfectly. Their salmon is the best I've ever had. The filet melted in my mouth. Everything about the food was perfect. The drinks were excellent.
Our server was very smooth. Friendly and professional, stopped by the table just enough. He wasn't overbearing or bothersome.
I was surprised and disappointed that the first set of dishes we received weren't clean. We had to tell the waiter to bring new ones.
The atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The place felt like it was trying to be fancy, but it didn't quite hit the mark. The outside gave a more upscale feeling than the inside. We weren't greeted when we walked in. It took five minutes for a waiter to notice us standing there. Mind you, we had a reservation. When the hostess finally greeted us, it was a bit of a letdown. I expected her attire and demeanor to be of a higher caliber. It didn't make the greatest first impression. The lighting felt too bright for fine dining, and the music was WAY off. The bathroom was clean, but there was a sign on the counter saying do not sit, which lowered the quality of the surroundings.
I don't know that I would go again. The food really was great, but for the price point, I expected a higher quality environment and a total experience. I was disappointed.
I gave four stars instead of three because 3.5 is not an option, and the food was too good to be rated lower than that.
Great place for happy hour, drove 35 minutes to get there. It did not disappoint I had goat cheese wrap dates, prime rib sliders and a Cajun bacon, deviled egg. Everything was great. I will be back very happy
Came here for Mother’s Day with my parents visiting from PA and my husband. Our waiter Payton was THE best! So attentive and just knew how to make our night even more special. The food was AMAZING. I got the 7 V 7 special. Steak and Scallops. I’m from The East Coast and have missed good seafood. So perfectly made. It was one of the best meals I’ve had ever. My parents loved it too. Daughter got the grouper special and that was also yum! Classy but yet comfortable restaurant. Highly recommend. And ask for Payton!!
Nice steakhouse. The server was entertaining and knowledgeable. The food was a bit pricey but delicious. They accommodated our large group and everything was great. Nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy a drink following dinner
We were seated immediately. Our server was amazing. He gave us honest opinions on the menu and wine selections. Hands down, the food was really good. It is what I needed to remind me of our hometown, NY, on my birthday! Thank you all at 1818 Chop House for making my evening and meal a great one to remember. ❤️
Brianne was our server, and she was the best. Awesome recommendation on the drink. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. And the mashed potatoes were incredible. The dessert was just sinful....so good. This was my first visit, but definately won't be my last. Thanks again Brianne.

Wow what a wonderful spot. We had an 8 people party here, all ordered steaks and all were extremely pleased. The service was great, and the meat quality was one of the best ones I had in a long long time! Steaks were juicy and cooked to perfection (I got the 18oz ribeye). Prices are incredibly reasonable for a place that oozes elegance and prestige - for both food and drinks. Sat with a cigar outside after the wonderful meal to end a perfect dinner night. Will definitely be back when in the area and would highly recommend visiting if you're around (and even driving a bit if you're in St. Louis).
