Best WLM Reviews

On Thanksgiving Day, I had the pleasure of dining at 1776 Morristown and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere enveloped us, with soft lighting and decor that set the perfect backdrop for a festive celebration.
The menu featured a delightful fusion of traditional favorites and the steakhouse's renowned offerings. The star of the meal, however, was the steak cooked to perfection accompanied by some of the best mashed potatoes I ever had. A delightful kick indeed.
Dessert was a highlight in itself. The ice cream sandwiches elevated an already incredible meal. The service throughout the evening was impeccable; our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. I left feeling grateful not just for the holiday, but for the remarkable meal that made it all the more special. It’s a dining experience I would highly recommend.
1776 was absolutely amazing! The food and service were top-notch, and the attention to detail in the decor and presentation of the dishes added to the experience. The atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a memorable meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!
My family and I took my sister thirty-sixth birthday. Our server Henry was the best. He was a natural, very patient, attentive, and really knew how to make my sister feel special. I love the atmosphere and the music. They have such beautiful furniture and comfortable chairs to sit in. The music they played was suitable for crowd. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know. And will be sure to visit again soon.
Situated in the heart of Morristown’s Green, which once was the site of George Washington's headquarters, 1776 by David Burke is a 7,000-square-foot space establishment. The most distinct feature in the main dining room is their contemporary 30-seat bar that's square in shape, marble-topped, and wearing sculpted green moss wall hangings that resemble a lush golf course.
Adjoining is the Topgolf Swing Suite, which combines the ultimate dining experience with fun sports-themed activities. Some of us came last night as first-timers for a company event. The inside is modern and artsy, with plenty of seating and a bar that commands the room. This is an indoor golf simulation entertainment venue with eight rooms where patrons can play virtual golf as well as simulated sports including baseball, hockey, and soccer. My colleague and I started out with several rounds of golf with six members to a team.
Their menu is full of delicious options to choose from the creation of Chef David Burke. As appetizers to share, we decided on the chef’s famous Clothesline Bacon, Lobster Dumplings, Fried Calamari, Hipster Fries, Surf and Turf Skewers, Popcorn Chicken, Gruyère Cheddar Herb Brioche Buns, and Tuna & Salmon Tartare Tostones. For our meals, we decided on the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass and Lemon Roasted Branzino, to name a few. Some of us saved room for dessert and got their DB’s Cheesecake Lollipop Tree, Pumpkin Crème Brûlée, Apple Brioche Bread Pudding and Cookie Skillet.
The clothesline bacon, consisting of three thick strips of crackly, hickory-smoked, maple-infused bacon, neatly clothespinned to a mini clothesline on a little wooden frame, was a star of the show. It was literally blowtorched in front of our eyes as an Instagram sensation.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. Every dish we tried was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and incredibly tender. Most of all, the presentation of all plates.
Our servers, Christian and James, were the best. They were natural, very patient, attentive, and really knew how to make this event enjoyable, which we can recommend.
From the time we opened the doors we were greeted with smiles from the two young ladies, Gabriel was awesome and amazing, the music was great after a cocktail I wanted dance. The food was absolutely stellar. 1776 did not disappoint!
It was our third time at this restaurant. This time for brunch. Never again.
My entree was crispy chicken sandwich. Chicken was burned so badly that it looked like a piece of coal. I took a picture, and I am adding it. I did not eat it at the place and took it home. When I cut the sandwich, I discovered raw meat. Terrible.
This place did not disappoint. My sisters and I took my mom here for a belated Mother’s Day brunch. The food was spectacular. We enjoyed the French toast sticks and gauc with plantain chips. Our waiter provided us with additional complimentary chips as well. The lobster po boy was well balanced in regards to flavors. Angry pizza was messy but had a great kick to it. The cocktails were pricy but classic and well presented. Our waiter was very attentive. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie sandwich for dessert. Picture not below because it was so delicious, didn’t have time to take a picture of it.
Very disappointed of how they prepared my Old Fashioned. For a very high end restaurant to make an old fashioned using regular ice cubes instead of a sphere or a big square cube is unacceptable. They even put banana chips as garnish to my drink - to an old fashioned.
Did they not have a cherry or orange peel?
I wonder what they wanted to imply but it’s crazy.
I go places to try many old fashioned and never have i seen one like this at a high end restaurant.
Thumbs down ????????
