When I walked in for my reservation, I was greeted by an amazing staff who wished us a Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday immediately. We were a tad early, but they took us and sat us by the window of the falls. It was a breathtaking view. We were greeted by our server, Cody, who took excellent care of us. We started with a drink and an amazing appetizer of Heavenly Biscuits with honey butter...amazing! I had Filet Mignon...I like mine well and it was perfection in every bite...tender and juicy and just melted in your mouth. My husband had the 17 River Smash Burger which was absolutely delicious. We ended with the Creme Brule with fresh fruit for dessert. Amazing food and service. We will be back again!
This is my first time at this particular restaurant. This is an upscale dining experience. This is for people who don't mind spending a little money but I'm here to tell you the experience was well worth it! Food was fantastic and the wait staff was great. If you have the means I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.
Amazing service and really the freshest and highest quality food prepared in a simple and delicious way. We liked it so much that we came back the next evening for dinner. If possible, ask them to seat you outside on the lower level so you can truly take advantage of the waterfall and scenery. Even though there was a long wait list, we never felt pressure to turn over our table after dessert, as we stayed conversing for a while. Make sure to try the key lime pie! We will definitely be back very soon and to try the brunch on the weekends!
Visiting Cleveland from Philly and liked this place! Gorgeous interior but the best was sitting outside next to the waterfall. They have open sofa seating outside, where we had drinks and an appetizer while waiting for our table. We got the biscuits as a starter and oh my gosh I could have eaten all of them myself!
Luckily our table was outside too. Few vegetarian options, luckily the veggie burger was homemade. Beet based and sooo good. Served with fries and coleslaw, also both delicious

Good not great. The atmosphere and location were spot on for a relaxing meal. Heavenly biscuits were absolutely amazing. Firecracker shrimp also very good. Cocktails were ok; we ordered one off the menu and one Bombay sapphire martini. I ordered the special which was (2) crabcakes. Disappointed with the presentation and preparation. They were basically falling apart when delivered and I did not notice how burnt the bottoms were as they were camouflaged in sauce. I would have been embarrassed to serve those to a guest. This was not their best foot forward.
Last time we were at this place, it was called Jekyll’s Kitchen. We came this time wondering if the quality would be up to par. If anything, it was better. Service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere as beautiful as ever. A view of the falls can be enjoyed both inside and on the patio. One concern: the AC was a bit strong, but that seems to be a widespread thing in restaurants.
Went here with my brother and a good family friend for my brother’s birthday. I love the setup of the restaurant. Plenty of seats/tables whether sitting upstairs or downstairs. You can sit close to the front where the it’s open and airy. Or you can sit in the main area and then there’s seating outside with a great view of the Falls. We sat downstairs and had a great view of the Falls. Very picturesque. I also appreciated the heaters above the tables. It was rather nippy but the heaters made it really comfortable. For a Monday afternoon, it had a nice crowd but we didn’t have to wait for a table. Our server was friendly and professional. Our friend ordered the Walleye, fries and slaw. My brother ordered the chicken sandwich with aioli, lettuce and other toppings. He also ordered fries. I ordered the Nashville spicy chicken, fries, & slaw. I also ordered French onion soup. My brother wanted to try the biscuits which were buttery and good. My chicken was really good. It had a nice flavor, cooked nicely. Only wished that the “hot sauce” was a little spicer, but I would order it again! My soup was DELICIOUS!! It was rich and had a great sultry flavor. It wasn’t too salty, it was just right. Our friend said the Walleye was cooked perfectly. He said it was very tasty and good. My brother’s sandwich was a healthy size sandwich. The bread, he said, was a type of multigrain and good. We enjoyed the ambiance of the Falls, the great conversation, and it was just a great and enjoyable experience. I can’t wait to come again!! I highly recommend 17 River Grille!!
We loved this gem. The drinks were as great as the food. The biscuits were off the charts. We could see the falls ta boot. The service was spot on. The decor was warm and modern at the same time. We are on a long trek across the US from CA to MN, down to FL and back across the lower states. Consequently, we came for lunch after touring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We were not disappointed and highly recommend this spot.
