This is one of my favorite places to enjoy a wonderful meal while in Charlotte! I will start off by saying that the service here is ALWAYS top notch. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable even though it is always nice and busy here. The food is SO delicious. We have had the Crab Cakes, oh my gosh so tasty! We have had the grilled Rainbow Trout with the Kale Salad, my husband’s favorite and it does not disappoint! My personal favorite is the Prime Rib sandwich with their incredible fries! What ever you do you must order a side of the fries! I have to mention another item that I really love on the menu- the Key Lime Pie! It’s the best Key lime pie I have had. Whatever you order here, it will be delicious! If you are ever in the Charlotte area please give 131 Main a visit. Our favorite location is on Rea Rd.
Excellent food. Great service. This is my wife's favorite restaurant. We usually get whatever is on special for the night, usually fish. Love the quinoa/kale salad. Kids love it too. Their favorites are salmon, pasta and the hot dog and most importantly the fries. My wife and I tried a striped bass during our last visit and it was A+. The halibut is also always good as well as the prime rib sandwich!
We made reservations for the Cornelius location, but drove too this location by accident. The establishment still received us and sat us promptly! The menu is selective,but has a range from poultry,seafood,pork,and seafood. A range of startes,and a varied wine list. We ordered a little bit of everything. They also made dish accommodations for us, switching out things, with no hesitation. The atmosphere is upscale,but don't have to go in suit or tie. Very relaxed,clean,low light and casual. Very enjoyable.
The shrimp cocktail is worth the price. Xtra Jumbo, FRESH not defrosted precooked. Every main entre was cooked just beautiful. Perfect med-rare heritage double cut chop. Beautiful roasted half chicken. Cedar Plank salmon was not over cooked. Everything was spot on. The cocktails also great. This is a beautiful spot for a date night, or business meeting,or a casual upscale family night out. Staff was SUPER! Never waited or went without. Absolutely a must for the CLT area.
This is a gem of a restaurant. It was completely full at 5:30 when I arrived to meet my friends. I had the Nacho Guacamole appetizer and it had plenty of Guacamole despite the picture. My friends had the trout and one had the Shrimp. Both of them said their dishes were good. I did not know they have pies too so next time I will come for dessert! The server was excellent and she remembered one of my friends who is a go-to customer. Highly recommend for quality and quantity, will be back!
OMG!!! This was an amazing experience! We are definitely coming back!!! The food is tasty and prepared perfectly. Our service team, led by Sarah, is attentive and very professional! We are so very happy that we came here tonight and look forward to many more dinners at the amazing 131 Main!!
My son and I were looking for a nice restaurant with fresh, quality food. We found 131 Main, the reviews were promising so we decided to try it. The restaurant was very clean!
After being seated we ordered the smoked salmon appetizer with toasts and a sauce. OMG! So delicious! Next we ordered our meal. My son had the butterflied trout w/kale and quinoa salad and I tried the shrimp and grits and a salad along with a nice bottle of champagne. Our waitress was attentive and professional! My salad was a simple Caesar salad but the romaine lettuce was so nice and fresh! No brown areas on the lettuce at all!! Every bite of the food was better than the first bite! Very fresh seafood and hats off to the chef! The shrimp and grits had a different take on them, they used prosciutto ham and asparagus tips surrounding the bowl of grits with a simple roux. It was delish! I like my grits to be a bit creamier, these were on the coarse side but still good. I ordered crab cakes w/fries and the fudge brownie and ice cream to go. All so very delicious. The crab cakes were full of big chunks of lump crab meat, fresh, and few to no fillers. The chef maintained the integrity of the crab, nicely done!!
Dessert was fabulous! Our attentive waitress boxed our food and champagne! We had a lovely experience! I’m sorry I cannot remember her name but she was beautiful inside and out! I’ll definitely go back again! I’m an excellent cook so to find a place that meets or exceeds my expectations is amazing!

Awesome customer service, the fries are addictive, best fries ever, and the cornbread OMG!!! Well..... pescatarian life, no problem, very busy but clean.

8-24-2024. Back again!! Same great service and delicious food!! Had the prime rib this time. It was excellent! Trio appetizer is fantastic! Highly recommend!
