Best WLM Reviews

Nice small bar with good music. Very crowded on the weekend nights. At the door they check for dress code that is not mentioned anywhere. But the bouncers were kind enough to let me in. Lots of people get drinks. Bar tenders do a got job of keeping up with the orders. There are high tables and chairs by the wall for guests to sit or leave their drinks and belongings.
I don’t recommend this place at all. I tried to come here with some friends in the afternoon one day after our grad school classes were done. We’re all ages 22-28; there was a small sign near the front door that said 23+ but when we walked in we were immediately seated and ready to be served. None of the workers mentioned anything, so we thought maybe the 23+ rule was for nighttime. One of our friends stepped into the bathroom and our server came over to take our order. Mind you, this lady could barely form a coherent sentence. I’m not sure if the bleach dye soaked into her brain or if she was actually strung out on coke/other drugs, but I digress. She began checking IDs, and when she got to the friend that was 22 she warbled, “wait….. so….. how old are you?” and stared at it all confused for a good 2 minutes. My friend said she was about to turn 23, and the waitress instantly became rude and started barking about the tiny sign on the front door and how we all had to leave. However, once my other friend returned from the bathroom, the server realized that she knew her and her whole attitude changed. She was like “oh well…. Maybe… let me see what I can do.” She then went over to the manager and literally started rubbing and touching him in front of us, asking if we could stay. It was so unbelievably uncomfortable, at this point we were happy to leave. There was not a single other customer inside, either. That’s how you miss out on good money and tips! Super unprofessional and uncomfortable experience overall. Will probably never return here or recommend it to anyone. Clearly mediocre anyways, since no one else in town was there. There are plenty of fun, welcoming establishments in downtown West Palm that are much more deserving of your time and money!!
This bar looked like a great one to attend. Coming to the form of customer service I would most definitely rate it as a 0. Security was the worst part. While being out side and seeing the amount of guests attending I decided to take a photo of the place as a promo. To which I definitely regret. The door security indicated that I couldn't take a photo. I told him being outside on the side walk as a civilian I do of course have the right to. I then took a shot of the building for a better image to where my phone was knocked out of my hand by security at the front door. Cracking the screen and damaging the phone but in all still workable. I asked security what his name was to inform the owner he broke my phone and see what we could work out as in a repair or replacement, in which I got no reply. I took another photo this time where he was in the picture more than just the whole building to be able to let the owner know. This time I was pushed down to the ground twisting my ankle and hitting my head on a solid object in front of the bar. At that moment I requested we have the police involved to where he kept quiet and not responding. Knowing that the police were patrolling the area close by I went to get them. Telling them of the incident that occurred and not having any bruises or bleeding from a real fight. I asked of what they would do in this situation and told stay away from the place and write a bad review about it. So figured if they were right this should definitely help for that security person to get fired and less people visit the bar.
As a person in the service industry and part owner of a club… the security and management tall , white 200 lb+ manager and african american security guard were strictly enforcing dress code in which i understand but there is a better way of expressing concern. This place could do so much better and make so much more money if they seeked the right staff. As I precisely proceeded to walk aways they begin to laugh. The owner should take a bit of a concern to the way ppl are being treated… places can be easily shutdown via threats and etc. hope this review doesn’t showcase a negative light but a more of a wakeup call…. Peace and blessings <3
Please, do no spend your money here. There are at least half a dozen better bars on Clematis that are more deserving of your dollars. Grease, Roxy’s, Respectable Street, and hell, even E.R. Bradley’s, even though it is a tourist trap, are miles better. They enforce a very strict dress code and they are simply not even close to being a nice enough bar to do so. Requiring pants, in Florida, in the summer? That is absurd. The one time I was able to get in was during happy hour on a random Friday afternoon. Their pizza is trash. I’ve had better pizza from the domino’s up the street. Again, there are way better places to get pizza from in West Palm Beach that are also a bar/restaurant. Don’t waste your time or money here.
Great atmosphere in the weekend. This place plays a good variety of music and has a great vibe!! Definitely recommended if your trying to have a good time with friends! Best time it’s after 10pm this place gets going!! Have fun! Everyone!!
Coming from out of town, found this place online and thought it was perfect!! Little did I know this place would have an age policy of 24 and up. Kind of strange. Guess they don’t want good business. I would put it on the website before others take a ride down for no reason. I guess they only accept baby boomer and have to be older than the manger to get in.
Datura is one of the most fun bar scenes in West Palm for us. I met my Fiancé here 3 years ago and went back for our engagement photos. The staff is amazing, drinks are amazing, and atmosphere is the perfect vibe. Sundays are a trip too. We used to go here Fridays for happy hour, Saturday night, then Sunday for after brunch and every time it was great.
I genuinely like that they enforce a dress code and that it’s 21+. It keeps the the right crowd coming back every time.
