If you like authentic Cantonese food, this is the best Sweet & Sour Pork Hong Kong style in Forfar.
I know - my mum lived in Hong Kong so I spent months there.

Never thought I would ever have to do a review for this Chinese but honestly the worst I have ever had, to start with the prices had been increased quite a lot since last order a month ago and I didn't have enough money to pay for it all and was quite embarrassed to say the least as they just looked at me in disgust, the food quality was terrible everything was not fresh chips looked reheated, spring roll batter was soggy for what I paid it wasn't worth it, will not be returning. Phoned to speak with Manager not much of a apology or offer a refund or another meal. Very disappointing ☹️
They don't seem to care if you enjoy the food or not.
Last night I had roast pork and mushroom curry with fried rice.
Roast pork was tough and looked like it had been cut up with a chainsaw.
The mushrooms should have hit the bin a week ago.
Curry sauce was bland, and the fried rice was a non-event.
Never again will I have anything from the 123
me and my family ordered Chicken Maryland which was fine and we asked for 2 Special Curry's what happened? they gave us 2 chips and curry sauce unfortunately we won't be returning as was very disappointed :(
I ordered food in the 123 Chinese takeaway not so along ago and the small women there seems nasty and can hear here shout very angry not first time i witnessed this, if were staff member id be scared to work there as i have been told they make there kitchen staff do everyday except when of 1 day a week and for not the right amount of there wages either, apparently they don't care aslong as there businesses is up and running and also cash only definitely avoiding TAXES , and i always seen there little boy behind the counter just hope they don't make the poor lad work, but wouldn't be surprised, because you know how the Chinese community works, also the delivery driver has to slow down as he or she would knock someone down its rediculouse the speed
The food from here was good and I wouldn't complain about that. The service however was really disappointing. We ordered food from here for the first time, specifically checking if they had a few items as they were worded weirdly on the menu. The person on the other end of the phone didn't read back the order in full but it wasn't a huge order and there were no weird requirements - everything was on the menu.
When the order arrived we had missing items. When we phoned to ask them to drop off the missed items we were told it was our fault as the person at the shop didn't read back the order to us. This is what they said they do as standard practice to make sure they have all info but on this occasion the person must have been new and didn't do this.
Really weird service that the person 'checked with the manager' and then refused to drop any missing items and instead we had to pay extra to have those items delivered. Really weird experience and wouldn't bother again.
Back in Forfar June 2nd, delivery, one hour to get 1.3 miles up the road, big order, first of all delivery order wrong, item not taken on order, food was dire, sauces were like water and now Worst Chinese we have had, soggy chips and poor meat to veg ratio. Absolute garbage. STAY CLEAR went downhill and fell of the mountain. Used to be great but poor now. Won't be back.
Best take away I've had in a long time. Food was hot and really tasty. Well done all. I'll be back next time in Forfar.
