Second best Cajun place in Louisiana. They hit the spot every time I come here. The food is hot, clearly fresh, and the staff is kind and welcoming. Do not pass this place up because it is the only place north of Henderson LA with great Cajun cuisine. I have been told it can be hot or miss from the kitchen, but I would say if April is working, she’ll help you and make sure you’re taken care of.
Found this attached to a small truck stop, as a truck drivers, my spouse and I like trying out different places to eat. I'd classify this place as more creole than Cajun. They only have a section of "Cajun" the rest is sandwiches, seafood plates etc. I opted for the Pontchartrain Shrimp Pasta. It was very good. Pasta was cooked perfectly, plenty of shrimp and vegetables (diced onion, green bell pepper, and slices of mushroom) well seasoned. The portion was very large, at least to me it was. It came with a big serving of garlic toasted bread.
My spouse got the Homemade Gumbo with rice, and a side of cornbread. The flavor was great, I only had a bite. The cornbread was surprisingly good. We are from the south, and we can be picky about our cornbread haha, but 103's was really good.
We will stop by here again when we are in the area!
Forgot to mention the kind waitress brought out a couple crawfish for me to try as I never had it before. They were delicious! The flavor was great, nice spice kick.
Great little stop on way home from a road trip. Not busy at all, and great portion sizes.
Been coming here for a couple of years food was good then they remodeled and it went downhill. I ordered the grilled chicken breast w/ baked potato and salad. The chicken was dry, like it was cooked before and heated up, the potato was under cooked. By the time I was ready to leave I had to run to the bathroom to throw up!!! Don’t eat here! Even the locals will tell you not to eat here, they only come to drink. The waitress was very nice!!! I’m still sick!!! Stay away!!! No stars for food!!!
Definitely a hidden gem. The food was amazing and so was the service. Louisiana has the best food hands down. Great food at reasonable prices which really makes a difference. Keep up the good work

Current evening service needs some change....
**New customers.....Please consider anything worth waiting for takes time to prepare and cook. Make sure to expect a bit longer wait to receive your meal. You won't regret it. They appreciate your patience as they settle into the remodel.

Food was great. Service was great. Will definitely return for the catfish!!
Extremely disappointed. I've been here before, and the food was great. But this time, it took forty five minutes to get my food, and it was not what I ordered. There were only four people in the restaurant, so there was no reason for the mistake. I ordered the Creole carbonara, which is supposed to come in a creamy Cajun sauce. But what they brought out was some sort of watery, tomato and pepper sauce. I'm a truck driver and did not have enough time to wait for them to remake the meal because I had to get rolling.
So I canceled the order then left. I used to stop here every time I came through but I don't know if I will be back.
Very Very Very Slow. Great waitress, but the kitchen seems to have absolutely NO coordination. 20 minutes for a order of onion rings. Never again. Total wait was over an hour for Fish, Fries, and Rings. NOT BUSY AT ALL. NEEDS WORK.
