We frequently visit NYC and have stayed in a lot of properties, and this place is an all-new favorite! From the moment we arrived, our needs were met and expectations exceeded. We were warmly greeted immediately out of the cab and entered a festive, cozy lobby on a cold December day. Our room was super comfy, including luxurious bedding and a plush comforter (which housekeeping provided upon request). And the restaurant, Jam's, was certainly the highlight. The food here was superb -- loved the cocktails and won't ever forget the the coconut curry hummus. Our service was excellent here -- we didn't have to =wait for a seat since we were hotel guests. We especially appreciated the warm, welcoming service of Daniel C our first night ... He was a joy! Thanks to everyone at 1 Hotel Central Park. We look forward to seeing you again in the spring!
Pros: great location. Nice and friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Free limo service was great. Well furnished. Good shower. ||Issues: 1) I wanted to order breakfast around 10am and was told it would be at least 2 hours to get the food. I ordered from somewhere else through DoorDash and got to me within 45 minutes. Crazy that they had over a 2 hour wait. ||2) They have room service but only until 8pm. In NYC, with shows and such that you get back after 9pm, it would be nice if they had at least a limited menu. ||3) THE BATHROOM! No one mentions this in reviews. Our bathroom…there’s a sliding door, but what’s the point?! The shower is glass so anyone in the room can see you even if they’re not standing right there because on the wall|Across from the shower is the full length mirror!!! So, unless you’re with your partner, sharing a room is out. And, to be honest, I prefer privacy when I use the bathroom!
From the very first greeting, we were made to feel welcome. We entered the stunningly beautiful lobby filled with live plants, gorgeous repurposed wood, and even grabbed an apple from the farm stand just by the elevators. We used our sustainable keys to make our way up to our room. The halls were quiet and peaceful. We entered our room and instantly all took a deep breathe as a sense of calm rushed over us. The neutral tones and the earthy embrace we felt made us forget all about the bustling City just below. Everything was tailored to us it seemed. The bed was not soft and not firm - it was perfect. Even three in a room and we felt free in our space. We ordered some extra things to be delivered to the room and the service was prompt and friendly. Each morning we dined at Jams, where as hotel guests we received priority seating. It was a stay that offered comfort and relaxation and the ability to focus on our much-needed family time. When it was time to go, we were guided in the best options for getting to JFK to ensure we were comfortable and clear on our options. The 1 Hotel Central Park is nothing short of extraordinary and we will be staying there again and again!
This hotel is a lovely find. The focus on the natural environment is a welcoming, unsusal and warm feature. Beautifully executed with real plants and creative details.The location is perfect for seeing alot of yhe museums and walking all of Central Park. We induldged in room service with an interesting menu. The gym and spa area looked put to the park, were well equipted and not crowded because so large.|We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at this hotel twice, the first time in July and the next time in December. Both times we are satisfied with the service, everything is at the highest level. The design is thought out to the smallest detail, the rooms are always clean and tidy. I would come here again
Loved the location and the vibe that the Hotel has. Staff was amazing, from front desk, doorman, wait staff to housekeeping. Food was great at Jams. Sit at the bar if you want some interesting conversation! Amazing experience and eager to stay again. I love that management reached out to see how our stay was.
I have been coming to the 1 Central Park, ("1CP") since it opened. I have stayed at the beautiful, well located hotel in the heart of Manhattan for years. All of my historical trips were for business, but in late August my wife and I stayed for our 20 year wedding anniversary. The hotel made our special milestone so very special - unbelievable room, bottle of champagne along with sweet treats and a nice note welcoming our stay. The whole staff seemed to know! It was so very special. My wife and I are looking to come back over the holidays. Thank you to the staff at the 1CP!!!!! We will back.
