Tween Waters was an amazing choice for our stay. The staff was wonderful from beginning to end especially Amanda at the Shipyard and the lovely Jamaican woman who's name i can't remember. We took a boat out from the marina with Captain Randy and that day was amazing, lots of shells and lots of dolphins. The resort, like many is still recovering from the storm but it didn't feel like we were in a construction zone. The pool had a chiller which was amazing considering the weather was hot. The room was clean, cute and the ocean view was wonderful. I? canr say enough good things about our time on Captiva and the resort but we will for sure be back next year.
Couldn't have been more pleased with our 8 night stay here. The rooms were impeccably cleaned, staff went above and beyond to provide service and the grounds were kept immaculate. I like the fact they have a serenity pool for those of us without kids. You can go and relax in the pool without the chaos of children jumping off the deck, yelling, crying etc ( sorry, nothing personal). We rented a boat from captiva water sports and the two young gentleman the morning of our check in were professional and very sweet. Highly recommend Tween Waters
Our family spent 5 days at Tween Waters in March 2024. We stayed in the Peterson cottage, which was perfect for parents + children 13, 10, and 6. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette was a perfect base for beach and pool days. The cottage was comfortable and clean - our only complaint was flat pillows. |The resort is a perfect mix of everything we need and small enough to be comfortable sending my kids across it on their own. It's not kitschy and over commercialized. I'm sure it was full when we stayed but it never felt crowded. |The pool and hot tubs were great (we did not use the adult pool), and the Oasis pool bar & grill was fantastic. Poolside service was such a treat. Staff at the Pelican's Roost marina/gift shop were helpful when we shopped and rented fishing rods for fishing off the dock. |The best part about Tween Waters is being literal steps away from both the gulf beach and the bay. You have multiple dining options within steps as well. You can get a ride to the Captiva town center for $5/person. There is also free kayak and bike use. |It's a perfect family resort, but my husband and I stayed without the kids a few years ago, and it's wonderful as a couples retreat as well. Don't hesitate to stay at Tween Waters!
My family and I spent 3 days at Tween Waters and we could not be happier. It all started with the front desk staff. Jason was very friendly and talked us through everything. The rooms were nice and clean and the Oasis pool area was great. The bartenders there are very service-oriented and you can tell just from talking to them. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. We even had a get-together on Tuesday night where we met members of the executive staff of the resort. Michelle, who we met was super nice and genuinely interested in our feedback. Restaurants, shops and overall resort were all great! Will definitely be back!
Tween Waters is an incredible location with the beach on one side and the bay on the other. Also has a very nice marina area and grounds. We enjoyed taking walks around grounds and across the street to the beautiful beach. I really wanted to love this place but I didn't.|The two pool areas a nice but they definitely could use a facelift. The bars in the pool area seemed very dirty but the food was OK.|The hotel rooms are definitely overdue for a renovation. We had a nice oceanview but everything in the room just seemed old.|Also had bugs in the room and a couple of us had bug bites after our first night.|On a good note, the Old Captiva Inn restaurant was great. And the on site bar The Shipyard had good drinks and was fun.|I probably would not stay here again unless they did some renovations to the rooms and pool area.
Let me start this review by stating that this was our second trip to Sanibel / Captiva. Our first visit occurred in March 2022 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the West Wind Inn in Sanibel. We fell in love with Sanibel / Captiva and the West Wind Inn that we booked a return trip to the West Wind Inn for December 2022. Obviously due to Hurricane Ian, that trip did not occur. So how does someone celebrate a new decade beginning birthday? You book a birthday vacation to the sister resort of the West Wind Inn in Captiva, Tweens Water resort. We booked a King Bay Suite overlooking the marina and bay. We spent a considerable amount of time on the screened in balcony overlooking the bay and Mangroves. The room was spacious and in great condition. Every staff member we met including the staff by the pool, restaurants and front desk were friendly and very helpful. On our arrival, we had trouble locating our building, a helpful staff member drove his golf cart to our building as we followed in our car. We loved the pool area with the two pools. We spent three days at the adult Serenity pool. Including two days renting one of the pool cabanas. We loved the pool service allowing for easy drink and food orders from the oasis pool bar and food service. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the Shipyard and dinner at the Old Captiva house. All meals were delicious and the staffs were friendly and outstanding. We also did takeout Pizza from Captiva Crust one night. Again, the Pizza was outstanding. We had such a great time at Tweens Water, we booked a return trip for the same week in March in 2025. We can’t wait to return next year.
This was the 19th year that we have gone to the Tween Waters Inn, with the only year we missed was the Covid year. Obviously we love it there. When trying to make our reservations for 2025, and substantially changing the dates we wanted, we were unable to reserve the desired dates before we left. However, the instructions that we were given to make the the adjustments in our dates were easy and clear to follow.||We were told to call Reservations when we got home, to see when the people staying in the Cottage that we wanted, for next year, had checked out this year, and had not renewed for 2025. EVERYONE with whom I talked with at Reservations was most helpful. I had to call several times, as there were several different groups using the Cottage in question this year. I was told to call on specific dates (and time) after those people had checked out of the room. I ended up dealing, only with Melissa Savard (calling her directly), in the Reservations department, and she walked me through everything. I called her 4-5 times in the following 2 weeks to check out the availability, and changed the dates by first a week, and then a few days at a time. Ended up with exactly what I wanted. Marissa was UNBLIEVABLE on the phone. Pleasant, professional, polite, personable, patient, and 100% enjoyable to deal with!!||We actually had many laughs on the phone, and she could not have been any more delightful/helpful to work with than I could have asked for. It was like just having a conversation with a friend. Can't ask for anything more than that!!||Just another reason why we love the service we receive at Tween Waters, and why we will be there in 2025 for our year #20.||Respectfully submitted,|||Tom Arnstein and Megan O'Toole from Delmar, NY
Impressed w/how well hotel has come back from hurricane. Room was clean & well stocked. Having 2 pools & beach access was great. Pool bar & grill is nice touch + Starbucks coffee bar in AM by pool. 3 nice restaurants were good options. We ate at the one that was more casual. Live music was great but maybe a little loud for the size of the room. Food was GREAT. My 9 y/o granddaughter got a personal cheese pizza. Handmade, big, & very good. She ate almost the whole thing. I had Shrimp Tacos & they were great. Would definitely come back again. Maybe closer to summer because the gulf water temp was very cold. The pools were very warm & clean.
