Food was amazing and service was great. Would definitely recommend.
We had the braised pork with veg and noodles in the spicy soup and the 5 in 1 special with dry beef, lamb and biang biang noodles.
I took the meal deal with BiangBiang noodles (pork, egg, tomato with chilli oil), a Murger and a soft drink and it was absolutely delicious! The portions are very large as well so I find there is great value for money :) will definetly go again!
Really amazing Chinese restaurant with a fantastic vibe and authentic food. The food is inspired by the Chinese city of Xi'an, and as a Chinese person originally from Xi'an myself, I can confirm the restaurant's authenticity. The biang biang mian (noodles) were absolutely spot on, and the Chinese pork bun/hamburger/murger was also highly authentic. No western appropriation or adaptation involved. It was also great to see such comforting food being served in an atmospheric restaurant - the restaurant's relatively small size added a cozy feel to it. Overall, fantastic spot located in a prime spot in London.
My first visit in 2022 was great and the best Chinese I've had.
I went back recently in January 2024 and had the same dish, only to find the lamb meat is now a meagre slice instead of a piece if meat like it used to be, and less egg with far too much of the red spice. See photos.
On the plus side, you can walk in and get a table straight away.
Amazing 5 in 1 noodles. Love the chewyness of the wide biang biang noodles which are a specialty.
The mix of 5 elements, ability to choose 2 meat types and the lovely tomato base soup makes it a wholesome experience. I'd recommend including the slow cooked lamb!
Accomodating too for people who don't eat spicy as you can specify the level of spice.
Service was lovely, such a nice waitress and the mouthwash in the bathroom was a happy suprise if you've got a hot date ;)
We had good find tonight, cosy place, comforting food and perfect service all around! We ordered the thick noodles biang biang and some starters and all the dishes were perfect to our tastes. We'd recommend it anytime!
Tucked away in a posh London neighborhood, Murger Han offers a surprising taste of Xi'an, the capital of China's Shaanxi Province. Intrigued by their claim to be London's "first authentic Xi'an restaurant," I ventured in for a breakfast that was anything but ordinary.
The restaurant itself has a casual vibe and the friendly staff and compact, moody dining room create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Upon perusal of the breakfast menu I couldn't decide on a specific dish to have, so I opted for a traditional Xi'an tasting breakfast.
This multi-course experience was a delightful exploration of flavours and textures. Each bite was a revelation, showcasing the unique cuisine of Xi'an. This included a plethora of small dishes which includes mullet congee, fried dough sticks, dumplings, tea egg, and pickled vegetables.
The breakfast was a delicious journey through Xi'an's culinary landscape. The portions were perfect for a satisfying yet not overwhelming start to the day. Murger Han's focus on authenticity and quality ingredients makes it a hidden gem for those seeking an adventurous breakfast experience.
If you're looking for a break from the usual full English breakfast and want to explore the flavours of Xi'an, Murger Han is worth a visit. Just be prepared to be surprised by what a London breakfast can truly be!
This is a 5 star restaurant for me. Since I have been studying in London in 2021, I have been visiting Murger Han on a weekly basis. It is literally a canteen for me. This is the perfect place if you wanna have some comfort food and snacks. I always order the biangbiang handmade noodles with tomato and eggs, vegetables, and beef toppings. I swear it is the best Chinese noodles that I have ever had. It is chewy, fulfilling, and with the spicy sauce it tastes simply perfect.
