Food is served very fast, although the quality itself is not great. We ordered the spicy Sichuan beef with rice and the spicy beef brisket with rice. Both were overly salty and lacking spice and flavour. The quality of the beef used was mediocre, with lots of bristle. It is a popular place, but I don't see the hype at all. Sasi's Thai next door is much nicer and better value for money.
Nice little restaurant located within the covered market; it serves amazing food and it has very good vibes. The staff were very friendly and the prices were decent. I ordered and really enjoyed the Chicken Katsu curry and the salt and pepper squid. The menu has a good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes - so I am sure people will find a range of dishes they will enjoy. Donburi Inn will definitely become a regular lunch time place for me!
Really good noodles soup (specially the roasted duck one). The size of the portion is ok and the ambience really nice with little table and post its in the wall. Had a great time during my day at Oxford!!
Tried the chicken katsu menu and it was phenomenal, would easily become a regular here.
Its a really nice restaurant overall, been there several times and people who work there are super friendly. Dishes are amazing, and the price is reasonable as well. Would highly recommend to come and visit if you near around the area.
Donburi Inn is a great place for a quick bite while exploring Oxford high street and the covered market. The food is freshly cooked and the waiting time is short. The staff are friendly and welcoming
Upon entering the place, the restaurant was clean and well managed, plus the staff were very helpful and suggested meals on the menu but not pushy. They were welcoming. I ordered the Gyudon (Beef Don) and it was amazinggggg! It's sweet and delicious. The slices were thin, tender and bursting with flavour! I also ordered the beef brisket with green pak choi which was just as yummy. The vegetables were crunchy and the beef was super soft! Both dishes were absolutely delightful! I highly recommend the place!
I had the tempura curry. It said on the menu that it came with broccoli and carrot but it didn't so i told a waitress there's no broccoli or carrot, she said yes there is, she came back to the table and saw there wasn't then went away and brought back a micro portion of broccoli and carrot, I said "is this 1 portion of broccoli and carrots? Are you kidding?" She said yes that's it. Well the food was fast the taste was average, the prawns seemed like maybe they were frozen instead of freshly made, but it was simple and filling. Reasonable portion for me, my boyfriend was still hungry after his veg dumpling curry udon noodles. For what i for I would say £9.50 I was over charged. The quality was more like £5.
