Great bistek tacos. You will be charged for the avocado and cheese, and it adds up. Birria tacos, not so great. They are $2 each and they’re tiny. It was unclear to me that it would be $2 each. My mistake. They also charged a 20% automatic gratuity. I wasn’t aware and gave her more. I’m all about tipping, but if I had known, I would have been able to pay with the cash I had and not use my credit card, which they add a fee for. I’m always the one checking the receipt, but they don’t bring you one. I didn’t want to be that person tonight because it was our first time, and it felt like I’d be kicked out if I complained or asked any questions. Lessoned learned. Speak up! Because of these things, I am not wanting to go back. If you’re going for the cheap tacos, don’t add any extras, and you’ll get a great deal. Oh, and margaritas taste like lemonade. If you like lemonade, these are for you. Can’t taste any tequila.
Quaint little establishment with a great menu with a variety of entrees. Will visit again to try more.
The burgers here are really good(ask for medium well meat, otherwise you might get dry meat), the burgers are priced fairly and are pretty filling.
The classic burger was well pretty classic yet good tasting but meat was a bit dry.
The commander in chief was a monster of a burger but it was pretty good but the meat was dry.
*The PB&J* burger was surprisingly the best of all the burgers we ordered, the combination between sweet spicy Jam & the salty of the meat/ bacon was incredible definitely getting this one on my next visit.
The sides are surprisingly delicious, the fries are delicious with crispy seasoned batter, the onion rings are also good & the salad is great.
The bistek street tacos with avocado and cheese are always great. The veggie street tacos with avocado and sour cream are my new fav! Full of flavor! Our server, Delilah, was the best and quite a delight!
The food was decent enough, not bad, wings could have been crunchier, that’s just my preference. Was here for the birria tacos but disappointed they didn’t have them anymore.. the bistro tacos weren’t bad, and the taco Tuesday special definitely makes it worth checking out!
Outstanding service provided by the hostess, waiting staff and bartenders. Their Covid19 safety precaution guidelines above any other establishment in the Rio Grande Valley. The restaurant's menu is impressive and very creative. The drinks as well are very unique and bartenders always up to the challenge to make new drinks. 76 bar is definitely a place you can come after a long day at work and enjoy a cold beer and a great meal. The nightly entertainment makes this place a perfect spot for you and your friends to hang out. Management is always very attentive to the customer's needs and always open minded to any new suggestions. This place is again above any other establishment.
Two years later update review
Place has really gone down from the food to the drinks. The restrooms are horrible. You can tell the staff doesn't not care about the customer. This place needs get fixed and kept with. What a difference two years make.
1st time visit was on Taco Tues. Had a great margarita, .39c bistek tacos and some super delicious 1.00 birria tacos. Libby took great care of us. She was on it with everything. Will definitely be back!
Our waitress was amazing.
She was tall and blonde. Not sure of her name we went there on 4/29. Around 5pm.
The nachos were very good and the price was nice. ...
